Sorry for the downtime

Last friday my webhost's script server had a catastrophic hardware failure that resulted in lots of sustained downtime, and the complete loss of all script data.

Ouchy!

Thereafter, there were nasty FTP problems when the new server was deployed, which prevented me from getting the site live once more. Anyway, all is working again, and I apologise for any annoyance caused. Fingers crossed that it doesn't happen again.

Welcome to the new site

Aloha and welcome to my even newer new spiffy and polished personal homepage, otherwise known as 'magimix@zokbar'. Those of you that visited the the old site, 'magimix 2000', will notice things look a tad different. As the move to a new host and new domain is quite a major one, I thought it was high time I spruced things up a bit. I hope the new look and layout meets with your approval :-)

At the moment, the site may look different, but it largely has the same content as before. Now that I have decent web-hosting I will be able to make the site, and the games, do more; community forums for the games, persitant high-score tables, and so on and so forth. Also, I intend to modfy existing games, and write new ones, that exploit the new services I have available to me. Exciting times ahead!

The first set of changes I am thinking of making are the addition of phpBB facilities. This will allow me to create the aformentioned community forums for games. Also, I would (hopefully) be able to offer customisations to the games based on the site login that users have. Also, once people are able to register with the site, I will likely use polls to canvas thoughts and opinions on what direction things should go; what changes would people like to see to exisisting games, and what new content would people like to see, etc.

Alas, however, much of the above will take time to do (pressures of work, and me just being a tad lazy at times). I hope you continue to enjoy the current games (see the menu on the left), and be sure to check this page regularly for updates.
